i love today's verse of the day.
i just realised it's linked to yesterday's one.
"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORDS's purpose that prevails." - Proverbs 19:21
the Lord says that He has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.
and God's plans prevails. (:
that was really assuring.
especially during this time where my results fail me, but God doesn't.
my heart is at rest when i put my trust in the promises of His word. (:

anyway, i shall share something random but quite interesting.
today during emaths i got back p2, and i failed quite badly.
i was disappointed, undoubtedly, and i told God about how i felt.
but i wrote this on my palm.
"i'll still praise You! (:"
i wanted to learn to praise God for who He is, not only for what He's done.
and also to praise Him not only when i'm feeling good or when something good happens.
and i think i'm on my way there! (:
so i prayed that somehow, p1 will pull me up to at least a passing mark.
i'd got a 36 for p2, so i calculated i needed a 33 for p1.
and you know what?
on p1, it was written 32.5!
PEK CHEK man, seriously!
i was like, aiya God, nevermind la, i already expected to fail anyway.
at least i didn't fail that badly until my other subjects can't pull up my overall score to a pass.
and then this was where it got exciting.
when i double-checked the marks on the paper, it totalled up to 33.
man i got super happy i started smiling like an idoit to myself. (:
this might sound stupid, some of you might think it's just a coincidence or something.
but really, nevertheless, i wanna thank God for all these little little blessings He gives me and be contented with them. (:
